Gosford & Wyong Emergency Departments are educationally networked for training with ACEM and offer a comprehensive education programme contributing to Primary exam preparation & Fellowship preparation. All trainees (including Unaccredited) have access to paid rostered non-clinical time. CCLHD Emergency Trainees have achieved excellent results in both Primary and Fellowship exams, with a very high pass rate and a number of medal winners for top mark. Both Gosford and Wyong Emergency Departments are ACEM accredited for 36 months training time (including stage 4).CCLHD offers access to regular simulation training and paid, rostered, weekly education sessions for both ACEM and Unaccredited Trainees. Education sessions include regular sessions in PEM, Radiology, SIM and Ultrasound. Advanced Trainees can rotate to dedicated positions in ICU, Anaesthetics, and Medical Education within CCLHD and to tertiary Paediatrics, Trauma, and Retrieval through external secondments. Career opportunities may be available for Trainees progressing through training towards Consultant level.The NSW Central Coast is located only 1 hour north of Sydney CBD. Career opportunities are available for JMOs wishing to progress a career in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care Medicine from SRMO to Consultant level.
