What Youll Be Doing: You will be joining a high-performing in-house team of legal and credit professionals working closely with our General Counsel on complex disputes and legal matters. This is a high-trust position where youll handle sensitive matters with discretion, enjoy significant autonomy, and directly influence business decisions. Youll be reviewing large volumes of material, identifying key legal issues, and helping shape the strategies that move matters forward, while collaborating directly with external counsel and specialist advisers. Your Role: Reviewing large volumes of digital material under tight timelines Investigating potential and current legal claims and disputes Researching laws, precedents, and procedural pathways Developing legal strategies and preparing clear matter summaries Drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, and submissions Instructing and managing external counsel and solicitors, with accountability for outcomes and costs Advising on pre-contentious matters including contractual disputes, enforcement and debt recovery Identifying and proactively managing legal risk Supporting contract administration and providing general legal advice What Youll Bring Law degree with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in litigation Experience gained at a reputable firm, or within an in-house disputes role Current practising certificate, full Australian working rights and two professional referees Solid understanding of court procedures Strong investigative, analytical thinking and critical reasoning skills Experience in private lending, debt recovery, enforcement, litigation, or insolvency (highly regarded) Strong stakeholder management skills and commercial judgement Adaptable and resilient - unfazed by changing plans or priorities, able to pivot quickly and keep projects moving forward How to Apply: Please submit your CV along with a brief cover letter outlining your litigation experience and why you are interested in moving into an in-house / remote role.
