Examine and run tests to assess the electronic devices to test functionality, diagnose faults, install and update phone software and trouble shoot writing problems. Repair and replace worn or defective components of electronic devices, such as batteries, LCD screens, keypads, buttons, camera modules, motherboards, etc. Assist in diagnosing any network faults and assist install any updates to device systems as required. Minimizing turnaround time through high speed, quality repairs. Keeping an eye on stock levels to assist in parts ordering; Staying on top of new technologies and repair processes. Maintaining technician bays and storage area to prevent occupational hazards or mess and ensure all devices are appropriately stored and secured to prevent theft or damage. Ensure availability of parts by advising operations team/management in advance of shortages. Identifies when a certain repair is becoming common and advises the operations team/management in advance to meet possible increasing demand and correcting procedures. Ensure repairs are kept maintained and up to date. Advising operations/management if parts required for a certain device awaiting repair, requiring quote, device needing longer repair time. Advising users of the correct operation procedures to ensure the devices are able to continue operating effectively and avoid malfunctions. Train and supervise technical staff Ensure quality control and inventory management Qualifications Proven experience in Retail and technical management. Strong knowledge of mobile phone & computer systems repair. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. IDEAL experience: At least 1-year proven experience as a technician. A relevant qualification or at least 3 years'' experience. Current skills across all popular brands of devices. Experience working in a reputable repairer ideal. Ability to be able to work rostered weekends a must.
