We are committed to ensure that all our people feel respected and participate safely within a work environment without aggression, sexual harassment, discrimination and racism.Where you''ll be workingRyde Community Mental Health Centre, Eastwood.Ryde Hospital is havingan incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.What you''ll be doingProvide recovery-focused mental health care to consumers experiencing acute mental illness or crisis.Conduct timely mental health triage and assessments, including after-hours assessments in Ryde Emergency Department.Deliver short-term community-based treatment as an alternative to hospital admission.Coordinate care and manage cases longer-term where clinically indicated.Work collaboratively with inpatient and community services to ensure smooth transitions of care.Implement brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including BIC aligned with the Project Air model.Contribute effectively within a skilled multidisciplinary team.Participate in a 7-day rotating roster, covering morning and afternoon shifts.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:Current AHPRA registration for relevant discipline - Psychology, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.Demonstrated, comprehensive mental health assessment and crisis intervention experience.Demonstrated experience and skills in suicide risk assessment and management.Experience working in community mental health and a demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act.Current NSW Driver''s licence.Need more information?1) Click here for the Position Description2) Find out more about applying for this positionFor role related queries or questions contact Runa Aman on or 02 9858 7777This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
