About The Role We are seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee operations and hospital relationships for laboratories at Burnie and Devonport, with expected time at each site relatively split. Your responsibilities will include: Operational oversight of two multi-disciplinary laboratories (Biochemistry, Haematology/Coagulation/Blood Bank/Stat Mico) Workflow and process management Ensuring laboratories release results within agreed turnaround times Ensuring laboratories perform within budget Hospital relationship management Overseeing the management of laboratory equipment to ensure equipment is maintained in optimal condition and working order, scheduled routine maintenance is performed, and any unscheduled maintenance is performed as required Reviewing and updating all laboratory documentation as required Ensuring quality standards are met About You To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the below criteria: Tertiary Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent Must hold AIMS accreditation Minimum 3 years experience in laboratory management Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful partnerships Experience in workflow/process review and implementation Results orientated and a proactive and effective problem solver Proven skills in defining, prioritising, and organising competing tasks to meet deadlines Ability to always demonstrate the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity Valid and current Driver''s Licence is mandatory We believe everyone leads, no matter what role they are in.
