We are committed to ensuring every community member can access the support they need. We are currently seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educators (Diploma) to join our team. Part Time Monday to Friday, 11:00am 3:00pm Location - Lady Huntingfield Early Learning & Family Services Centre Both centres operate between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and flexibility may be required to support service needs. A little more about the role As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work closely with the Educational Leader to provide high-quality education and care for children accessing the service. Programs are informed by the Belonging, Being and Becoming: Early Years Learning Framework and reflect current best practice while supporting the individual needs of each child. Plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate education programs that: Respond to the strengths and interests of each child Reflect the philosophy of the service and Childrens Services Align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards Include indoor and outdoor learning with a focus on education for sustainability Build nurturing, respectful relationships with children that recognise their rights, differences and choices Provide supervision and personal care while maintaining safe, welcoming environments Lead and support other educators as part of a collaborative team Document learning, observations and required reports in accordance with CoM policies and regulatory requirements Actively contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement of the service Develop positive partnerships with families and encourage their engagement in the centre community Liaise with community services and other City of Melbourne teams to support children and families Support and supervise students on placement Participate in professional learning, staff meetings and professional conversations Maintain compliance with OHS requirements, emergency management procedures and a workplace culture free from bullying, discrimination and harassment Why join Team Melbourne?
