The Opportunity: Reporting to our supportive State Manager based in Enfield, the Transport Allocator works closely with Branch Operations and is responsible for the daily planning, allocation and coordination of fleet movements across the NSW metro and regional network, including intrastate runs. This role is best suited to someone who knows how to get the most out of trucks and drivers while keeping service levels high for customers. You''ll play a key part in making sure the right equipment and drivers are in the right place at the right time. We''re looking for a proactive self-starter who naturally sees what needs to be done and gets on with it. Someone who works well with minimal supervision, takes ownership, and follows through. In return, you''ll have the autonomy and responsibility to make a real impact in the role and help keep our operation running smoothly. You''ll be responsible for: Planning, scheduling and allocating local, rail and linehaul runs across the national network Coordinating interstate, metropolitan and wharf (import/export) freight movements Maximising fleet and driver utilisation to deliver optimal operational efficiency Building and maintaining strong, professional customer relationships Maintaining accurate manifests, PODs, driver run sheets and operational records Managing compliance across fatigue management, safety and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Resolving operational challenges quickly, calmly and professionally Supporting and overseeing driver training and operational standards What success looks like: You are commercially minded, solutions-focused and thrive in a high-volume transport environment. You understand the moving parts of rail and wharf operations and can confidently balance service, safety and efficiency.
