We are conducting the first neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) medical device trial of its kind in Western Australia, working closely with leading hospital partners including Fiona Stanley Hospital. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Clinical Trial Manager to lead and coordinate clinical and research activities across multiple hospital sites in Western Australia. This role extends beyond traditional trial coordination and includes involvement in translational research, datadriven clinical investigation, and earlystage medical innovation. As an early member of the team, you will play a key role in shaping and scaling the clinical program as it expands. This is a handson role that combines daytoday clinical trial execution with strategic oversight, including supporting multisite trial delivery and contributing to the design and optimisation of the broader clinical program. You will have a clear pathway to senior clinical leadership as the company grows. This role reports to the Head of Clinical Development. Key Responsibilities Clinical Trial Management Manage timelines, milestones, and crosssite coordination Identify and manage risks to trial delivery (e.g., recruitment, compliance, timelines) Work closely with neonatologists, nurses, and hospital research teams Oversee patient recruitment, consent processes, and data collection in liaison with the CCI Ensure compliance with GCP, regulatory, and ethical standards Initiate, and execute NICUbased clinical studies Work with engineering, product, and leadership teams Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as reasonably required to support evolving needs of the business Clinical Strategy & Program Development Provide operational input to clinical strategy and trial planning Identify opportunities to optimise trial design, recruitment, and site performance Support expansion to additional clinical sites and future studies Research & Translational Work Contribute to the design and refinement of clinical study protocols Support analysis and interpretation of clinical and physiological data Opportunities for authorship Selection Criteria Required Skills & Experience Minimum 4+ years experience in clinical trial management Strong understanding of GCP and clinical research processes Experience with ethics and governance submissions Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment Highly Desirable Experience in neonatal, paediatric, or hospitalbased research Experience with medical device trials Interest in datadriven or computational approaches to medicine Experience working across multiple clinical sites Opportunities for Growth Potential to pursue a sponsored industryled PhD Leading and executing a firstinkind NICU clinical trial program in WA Exposure to interdisciplinary work spanning medicine, engineering, and data science Opportunities for authorship on publications and conference presentations As the clinical programme scales, this role has the potential to evolve into a senior clinical leadership position with oversight of the broader clinical function Application Process Submit your expression of interest, including CV, a statement addressing the selection criteria and outlining your interest to Dr Samuel Bolland COO at [email protected].
