Join us at Rowland Flat as a Mechanical Reliability Technician, located in the Barossa Valley at our centre of excellence for premium and sparkling wine production. Positioned between Lyndoch and Tanunda, this region is home to worldclass wineries including Jacobs Creek and St Hugo. About the Role This is more than reactive maintenance. As a Mechanical Reliability Technician, youll focus on improving equipment reliability and eliminating repeat failures across a high-volume packaging environment. Working closely with production and engineering, youll take ownership of mechanical performance, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities Investigate mechanical failures and conduct root cause analysis Improve reliability of rotating equipment, conveyors and packaging assets Perform planned and breakdown maintenance and support commissioning Identify critical components and manage spare parts Support apprentices and contractors with a strong safety focus Contribute to improvement and reliability projects What youll bring Mechanical trade qualification (Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance) Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or packaging environments Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, reliability mindset Experience with pumps, valves, bearings and mechanical drawings Ability to use CMMS and basic computer systems Desirable Exposure to TPM / 5S or reliability frameworks Forklift, EWP or other high-risk licences Whats on offer Above-Award hourly rates Regular overtime available Staff wine allowance & wine discounts Financial rewards through or internal recognition platforms Access to confidential Employee Assistance Program Ongoing training and career opportunities If you enjoy solving problems, improving equipment performance and taking pride in quality maintenance, wed love to hear from you.
