Role Title: Midwifery Unit Manager Postnatal Role Type: Permanent, Full-time Department and Location: Maternity Department, The Mater Hospital, North Sydney Salary: 70.25 AUD base per hour. About the Role Whelan Ward (postnatal) consists of 34 inpatient beds catering for postnatal and antenatal patients. The Midwifery Unit Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, evaluating and leading all aspects of patient care and staff performance management and allocation. In consultation with the ADCS, create ward roster monthly, allocate staffing appropriately, taking into consideration staff numbers to maintain patient and staff safety, skill mix of staff along with the budget WHPPD. The position holder will ensure the satisfaction of all stakeholders, utilising best practice standards in line with the philosophy, mission and values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. About You Bachelor of Midwifery. Current AHPRA Registration. Ability to demonstrate clinical knowledge in Midwifery with a commitment to professional development and clinical teaching. Willingness to work with Maternity Management Team, Assistant Director of Clinical Services Acute and Cancer Services and Executive to improve services within the Mater with an optimistic attitude and passion for success.
