About the Opportunity This is a rewarding opportunity to join the Operations Directorate as a Work Coordinator (Operations). The role involves coordinating and assisting in the scoping, planning, delivery and review of projects within Councils Delivery and Operational Plan and capital projects. Responsibilities Play a key role in supporting the delivery of essential community services, ensuring administrative processes, regulatory functions and customer interactions are managed efficiently in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and guidelines. Coordinate and assist in the scoping, planning, delivery and review of projects within the Councils Delivery and Operational Plan and capital projects. Work collaboratively with a diverse team to support a range of services and contribute to initiatives that improve processes and community outcomes. Qualifications Certificate IV in Business Administration or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in operational project support, administration or contract administration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White Card). Current and maintained NSW Drivers Licence. Preferred Qualifications Qualifications in Project Management, Civil Operations or equivalent. Experience in the management/coordination of administration functions within an operational unit, section or business. Knowledge of the role, functions and responsibilities of Local Government. Benefits The appointment is governed by the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Councils policies and conditions of employment. Grade11 of Councils salary structure with a commencing salary of $74,772.58 per annum, inclusive of super and salary packaging options. 35hour working week and a fortnightly rostered day off (RDO). Four weeks annual leave per year. Access to longservice leave after five years. Salary packaging options through Salary Packaging Australia.
