Hospitality Training Network (HTN) is seeking a 1st or 2nd Year Apprentice Chef for an immediate start at Bankstown Sports Club. This position is open to applicants with a strong passion for cooking and eagerness to continue developing your practical skills. Whats Involved As an Apprentice Chef, you will be employed by HTN and hosted at our Host employer, learning from qualified Chefs in all aspects of food preparation and presentation. Working with us allows you to learn and build experiences from skilled professionals within a commercial kitchen environment and learn different cuisines, becoming a quality chef. You will be working at one of our great host venues, working with large quantities of food and a variety of seasonal ingredients. Key activities you can expect will be: Food Preparation assisting with tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces and measuring ingredients Cooking following recipes and directions to prepare a variety of dishes, including meats, fish, vegetables and desserts Kitchen Maintenance cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, utensils and work surfaces Food Safety ensuring food safety regulations and hygiene standards are maintained Learning and Development completing required training modules and actively seeking guidance from chefs Teamwork collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and highquality food Customer Service providing excellent customer service when interacting with customers Ensuring all food delivered during service periods is of the required standard To suit this role, you will be an eager and motivated individual with a passion for food looking to kickstart your culinary career! You will have good communication skills, seek out opportunities to learn and show initiative in your everyday duties. Wage Award wages apply.
