About the RoleAs a casual disability support worker in our After School Care program in CURRUMBIN WATERS, youll support children aged 512 years in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. Your role will involve supervising activities, supporting children with diverse needs (including disabilities), and helping them unwind and transition from the school day in a positive way. Youll play an important role in creating a welcoming, engaging atmosphere where every child feels supported and valued. Shift Hours After School Care: 2:30 PM 5:30 PM Before School Care (potential future opportunity): 6:30 AM 9:00 AM Optional Extra Hours: If you''re interested in working during school holidays, you may have the opportunity to support our program during that time as well. What Youll Do: Assist children with their needs, including emotional support, mobility, and communication assistance. Lead or assist with recreational activities and games to keep children engaged. Ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued. Collaborate with the team to provide the best care possible for all children. Why Join Us? Patience and understanding when supporting kids with varying needs. Experience with children (with disabilities) is preferred. Experience in a school setting is a bonus.
