Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Rigger / Trade Assistant / Crane Operator to join our busy Naval Base workshop team ASAP for a 3 month or longer duration. This is a hands-on role supporting trades and contributing to high-quality fabrication outcomes for multiple projects. About the RoleWorking in a fast-paced workshop environment, you will play a key role assisting skilled trades while ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Assist Boilermakers and Welders with day-to-day tasks Perform rigging duties as required Operate cranes where required (if ticketed) General trade assistant duties and manual labour Maintain a clean and safe workshop and yard Adhere to all safety procedures and company standards About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have: Ability to operate 20T Franna Crane/Over Head Cranes in the Workshop White Card (essential) HR Licence Forklift Licence (Essential) 3T + 5 T Forklifts Intermediate Rigging Ticket (essential) Previous experience in a workshop or fabrication environment Strong commitment to safety and teamwork Ability to work in a physically demanding role Whats on Offer 10 - 12 hours per day (potential Saturdays) Stable, ongoing work with a growing business Supportive team environment Varied and hands-on work Further details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
