About the role We are seeking an experienced Welding & Fabrication - Business Unit Manager to join our team at Fremantle Foundry & Engineering Co Pty Ltd in Henderson, WA. This is a full-time position that will play a vital role in the strategic direction and operations of our welding and fabrication business unit. What you''ll be doing Provide leadership and management to the welding and fabrication team, ensuring high quality and efficient project delivery Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability for the welding and fabrication unit Oversee the procurement of materials and resources required for welding and fabrication projects Monitor and report on key performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting continuous learning and development Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations Collaborate cross-functionally with other business units to deliver integrated solutions for our clients What we''re looking for Extensive experience (8+ years) in a welding and fabrication management or leadership role Strong technical expertise in welding and fabrication processes, materials, and equipment Proven track record of successful project management and business development Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Tertiary qualifications in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field would be highly regarded Certification in welding inspection or quality assurance would be an advantage
