These are permanent positions available on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.5 FTE), with a start date as soon as possible. Based at our Springfield campus, this role will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, its set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hourplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits! What youll be doing In this role, you''ll deliver holistic, patient-centred nursing care across all aspects of the ICU, working collaboratively within a skilled multidisciplinary team. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering safe, efficient and compassionate nursing care with consideration for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each patient Contributing to a culture of safety and quality by adhering to infection control practices, organisational policies and continuous improvement initiatives Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate, manage and evaluate patient care activities Advocating for patients and supporting them in their own healthcare decision-making Participating in the teaching and mentoring of nursing students and less experienced staff Maintaining and expanding your professional knowledge through ongoing education and evidence-based practice Practising in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia''s standards, relevant legislation and Mater''s values About you You''re a skilled and motivated nurse who thrives in a fast-paced critical care environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will have: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Experience in, or a strong interest in, intensive care nursing A commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and evidence-based practice Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team The ability to exercise sound clinical judgement and accept accountability for your own practice A genuine passion for professional development both your own and that of your colleagues Why join us?
