We are seeking a practical and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team and become part of our ongoing success. About the Role This is a handson role supporting the reliable and safe operation of production equipment and site facilities. As a member of the small factory maintenance team, you will be carrying out preventative maintenance, breakdown response, line startups, and continuous improvement activities. Key Responsibilities Mechanical maintenance and repair of food production equipment Daily startup, shutdown and changeover of production lines to ensure stable production cycles Preventative maintenance task Breakdown response and fault-finding Supporting general site maintenance as required Ensuring all work meets food safety and WHS standards Weekday rotation with some weekend coverage possible (shared roster) About You Trade qualified fitter, mechanical technician or equivalent handson experience Experience in manufacturing environments (food manufacturing desirable) Strong or developing mechanical faultfinding skills Comfortable working in a washdown and foodsafe environment Practical, reliable, and able to work independently Good communication and teamwork skills Current driver''s licence required due to location Australian work rights required Desirable (but not essential) Experience in dairy or food manufacturing Welding or fabrication skills Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems Forklift Licence If you would like some more information or wish to apply, please feel free to contact *****@meredithdairy.com
