Contribute to a communityled program that builds capacity, strengthens connections and supports older people to age well and with dignity in Murwillumbah. About the role: Deliver the Healthy Towns (Murwillumbah) Program, a twoyear, Commonwealthfunded initiative running until April 2028 Support local services, networks and agencies to work in partnership to respond to community needs Build the capacity of community groups and committees through planning support, collaboration and funding submissions Strengthen social connection, participation and wellbeing so older people can age well and with dignity Contribute to healthier, more connected and resilient communities through communityled initiatives Provide professional support across consultation, research, project delivery, monitoring and grant seed funding programs What''s on offer: a maximum term contract, ending April 2028 a base salary ranging from $84,316 per annum with competency-based increments up to $99,874 per annum, plus 12% super 70-hour, 9 day fortnight training and development opportunities flexible work options for a healthy work/life balance generous employment conditions (we have too many to list - We are seeking: Someone with a degreelevel qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Humanities, Social Science or Community Development), or demonstrated solid experience in a similar role Demonstrated experience delivering community capacitybuilding outcomes, including responding to sensitive and complex issues Strong research, writing and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders Proven experience in group facilitation and community consultation Ability to manage competing priorities and effectively reprioritise in a dynamic environment About us: Located on the picturesque far North Coast of NSW, bordering the Gold Coast. Where it''s located: This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site. Position closes: Wednesday 13 May 2026 at 12 noon sharp (NSW time).
