About the role MacKillop Catholic College is seeking a passionate and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for teaching Woodwork and Metalwork to secondary school students in our vibrant and supportive learning environment located in Johnston, Northern Territory. What you''ll be doing Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective Design and Technology lessons, with a focus on Woodwork and Metalwork Implement the school''s curriculum and assessment policies to ensure students achieve their learning goals Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support to help them reach their full potential Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve teaching practices and student outcomes Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all work practices adhere to relevant health and safety regulations Contribute to the broader life of the school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events What we''re looking for Relevant teaching qualifications, with a specialisation in Design and Technology, Woodwork and/or Metalwork Demonstrated experience teaching Design and Technology subjects in a secondary school environment Strong subject matter expertise in Woodwork and Metalwork, with the ability to engage and inspire students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues Commitment to continual professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning Ability to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports the diverse needs of students What we offer At MacKillop Catholic College, we are committed to supporting the professional and personal growth of our employees.
