Department of HealthCommunity, Mental Health & WellbeingCMHW MH & Statewide Services Permanent role the Alcohol and Drug Services are seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the North West team. Based in North West Tasmania, you will work directly with individuals and families affected by substance use, providing compassionate care and evidence-based interventions in a supportive community setting. This permanent, fulltime position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in peoples recovery journeys while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to holistic healthcare approaches. The Role Our services work closely with both the public and private sectors to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, workforce, and the Tasmanian community. The Registered Nurse contributes to delivering highquality alcohol and other drug treatment services in accordance with relevant Government Legislation and Regulations, Primary Health Care Principles, Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) policies, procedures and protocols and relevant professional competencies. What you will do Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans Provide therapeutic interventions and counselling support Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community organisations, and families Facilitate group programmes and educational sessions Maintain accurate documentation and participate in case conferences Support clients through withdrawal management and ongoing recovery Provide pharmacotherapy treatment and harm minimisation advice as part of the MDT process, including travel to outreach centres and inpatient facilities Qualifications Registered with the Nursing and Midwives Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse Experience in mental health, addiction services, or community health (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of traumainformed care principles Completed or working towards postgraduate qualifications in AOD (desirable) Current Drivers Licence (desirable) Appointment Details Permanent, fulltime day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Location: 11 Grove Street, Ulverstone Employment type: Permanent, fulltime Salary $80,524 to $109,175 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. (Salary range in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.) Access to the Grade4 salary range $102,439$109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade4. Allowances Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Benefits available to eligible candidates Youll have access to a salary package and range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year. Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
