Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Nurse Manager Grade 4 Remuneration: $2,910.06 - $2,961.15 per week Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ658458 Nursing Leaders - an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to join the senior Nursing Management Team at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) in the role of Nurse Manager Clinical Services for the Division of Surgery and Anaesthesia. The Nurse Manager Clinical Services is responsible for providing nursing leadership and operational direction to Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNCs) and Nurse Practitioners (NP) working within clinical services with their Division, and to lead quality improvement whilst ensuring the use of evidence based practice to achieve optimal patient outcomes within allocated resources. Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency NSW Registered Nurse, Division 1. Recent senior nursing management experience in the management and delivery of complex health services in an acute setting supported by a relevant tertiary qualification or working towards. Demonstrated understanding of risk, clinical governance, change management and the implementation of strategies to ensure best practice in clinical care and continuous improvement in quality and safety across multiple units. An understanding of key performance indicators to support patient care and safety inclusive of nursing sensitive indicators and the implementation of specific programs to address. Demonstrated focus on performance improvement processes, development and management of the workforce to optimise patient outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in budget management and reporting of financial performance, recruitment and retention strategies and WHS legislation to ensure delivery of a safe and efficient service. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and roster management skills. Brief writing, business case creation, service review reports and documentation around new models of care. Need more information?
