Reporting to the Team Leader Public Tree Risk Management and Operations, this role will see you assist in various tree and vegetation management activities, contributing to the safety and enhancement of Council''s reserves and natural areas. In this role you will be responsible for operating all required equipment safely, completing administrative tasks as required, and ensuring that all work complies with relevant policies and procedures. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community. What were looking for Current Chainsaw Trim & crosscut felled trees licence Current Construction General Induction Card NSW Safe Work or equivalent Experience using hand tools and minor plant equipment Ability to work in a team environment and provide quality customer service to the public Extensive experience in general tree maintenance using a range of chainsaws, a chipper, gardening and parks maintenance Commitment to safety and customer service in a team setting (provide examples) Commitment to obtaining other required licences (e.g., White Card, drivers licence) within specified timeframe Experience or willingness to obtain Chainsaw Trim & crosscut felled trees licence Experience or willingness to obtain First Aid certificate The commencing salary for this position is up to $61,000 per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $70,700 per year on completion of assessment of skills and performance, plus 12% superannuation and $19.49 per week working allowance.
