We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities, and aquatic centres to over 385,000 residents. Role Leads and supports the Leisure & Aquatic Services team, fostering strong leadership, best practice, and highquality service delivery. Oversees staff training and ensures compliance with policies and procedures to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for the community. Contributes to the overall customer experience and shares responsibility across duty management, supervision, administrative, and operational tasks. Duties Provide leadership and supervision to Leisure & Aquatics staff, supporting the Team Leader Assist with staff training, development, and technical guidance Perform Direct Service duties when required Oversee daily operations, including tasks, bookings, and facility use Ensure compliance with WHS policies, safe work practices, and equipment use Manage emergency response systems, customer safety, and incident reporting Support planning, budgeting, and overall operational performance of the centre Maintain high customer service standards and build strong relationships with users and stakeholders Requirements Pool Lifeguard Licence & Certificate Technical Operations Certificate (RLSSA or TAFE NSW) Senior First Aid Certificate Current CPR Certificate Current Class C Drivers Licence Current Working with Children Check Proven experience leading teams to deliver safe, highquality customer experiences Strong ability to manage staff performance and team effectiveness Experience with pool supervision, plant operations, and water quality compliance Skilled in coordinating maintenance and liaising with contractors Background in managing large leisure/aquatic facilities or similar environments Experience in customer service operations, bookings, memberships, and frontofhouse management Strong organisational, problemsolving, and risk management capabilities Effective communication, administrative, time management, and computer skills with focus on KPIs Applicants must hold an Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or possess a valid work permit/visa with full unrestricted working rights Successful applicants may be required to undertake a Criminal History Check, Medical and/or Working with Children Check in accordance with the position Salary Salary range starts at $82,701 (Grade F, Step1) + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
