Job Description

Instrument Technician, Grade 3-4 Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) Casual Position Health and Allied Services Agreement, Instrument Technician Grade 3 - 4 ($36.00 - $37.19 per hour, depending on skills and experience). We are seeking a motivated and detailfocused Instrument Technician Grade 3 4 to join our team on a casual basis at WestGippslandHealthcareGroup. The role involves performing sterilising services duties and supporting daily CSSD operations while ensuring compliance with AS5369:2023, infection prevention and control standards, and quality requirements. The successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary environment, operate autonomously with minimal supervision, and contribute to safe and efficient instrument reprocessing. Casuals are employed on an as needs basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours. Preferred Candidate CertificateIII or IV in Sterilisation Services Minimum of 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician Strong knowledge and experience in sterilising services and reprocessing standards Practical knowledge of AS5369:2023 standards Welldeveloped communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
