Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 9 March 2027 (with possibility of ongoing employment)Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2Remuneration: $68.50 - $69.87 per hourHours Per Week: 14Requisition ID: REQ659812An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and committed Registered Nurse to join the Palliative Care Department within Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH), Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) on a temporary, parttime basis.The Palliative Care CNC2 provides expert clinical leadership in palliative care, supporting highquality, personcentred care for patients with lifelimiting illness and their families. The role contributes to clinical practice development, education, service improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration across acute and community settings.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advanced clinical expertise in specialist palliative careLead and support bestpractice, evidencebased nursing careContribute to education, mentoring, and professional development of staffParticipate in quality improvement, service development, and clinical governance activitiesWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partnersSupport continuity of care and care planning across settingsQualificationsRegistered with Authority to Practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Minimum five years full time post graduate experience with 3 years full time equivalent in Palliative Care Nursing. In addition the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level) or evidence of working towards Masters level qualification.Demonstrated effective organisational and time management skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
