Computer Systems Officer - Level 4Temporary Full-Time up to 30 June 2027Parramatta & Sydney Olympic ParkAbout usThe NSW Police Force (NSWPF) is one of the largest police forces in the western world, with more than 20,000 employees, including more than 4,000 administrative employees who support the sworn officers that provide a range of law and order services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the socially, geographically and culturally diverse community of NSW.About the roleWe have an opportunity for an Application Analyst to be part of our Testing Services, Technology & Communication Services Command. The Application Analyst reviews and analyses the organisations'' business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements. The Application Analyst is responsible for working with application developers and business representatives undertaking business analysis and requirements gathering activities to ensure project and business operations deliverables meet client requirements. Requirements may involve changes to business processes, provision of a new business solution or enhancements to existing systems and infrastructure.The Test Analyst provides specialised testing and analytical support across multiple project streams, ensuring ICT solutions are validated, functional, and aligned to NSWPF business requirements. The role is responsible for developing and executing manual and automated test cases, preparing test plans and schedules, analysing defects, and confirming that system behaviour meets documented requirements and acceptance criteria. It works closely with developers, business representatives, and technical teams to clarify requirements, identify issues, and support the delivery of high-quality applications, consistent with NSWPF policies, standards, and security practices.In addition to test execution, the Test Analyst contributes to broader application analysis by reviewing system functions, assessing technical and functional impacts, and assisting with troubleshooting and fault resolution. The role supports continuous improvement of testing processes and maintains effective stakeholder relationships by ensuring issues are identified early, communicated clearly, and resolved efficiently.
