Quality, Compliance and Child Protection Manager PCYC NSW is one of Australias leading youth charities, working in partnership with communities and NSW Police to empower young people and build safer, healthier, and more connected communities across New South Wales. We are seeking a Quality, Compliance and Child Protection Manager to strengthen the safety, quality and regulatory compliance of PCYC NSWs Clubs and Out of School Hours (OOSH) services. This role is central to ensuring our programs meet the highest standards of child safeguarding, legislative compliance and service excellence. You will lead internal audits, support child protection processes, and guide teams across NSW to deliver safe, consistent and high-quality experiences for children and families. ABOUT THE ROLE The Quality, Compliance and Child Protection Manager is responsible for overseeing the systems, processes and practices that ensure PCYCs services remain safe, compliant and aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements. This includes leading the internal audit program, managing incident and risk processes, supporting child protection investigations and guiding continuous improvement across all PCYC NSW sites. Key Responsibilities: Child Protection & Safeguarding Act as a PCYC Child Protection Officer and maintain all required clearancesLead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Child Safe Standards across PCYC NSWSupport mandatory reporting processes and provide guidance on child protection concernsConduct or support investigations into child protection matters when requiredContribute to achieving and maintaining Safeguarding Children Accreditation Quality, Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Ensure all PCYC services operate in accordance with the Education & Care Services National Law & RegulationsProvide expert advice in compliance, quality assurance and legislative requirementsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen service quality and consistencyMonitor compliance performance and assist teams to meet regulatory and organisational standards Internal Audit, Reporting & Incident Management Manage PCYCS Internal Audit Program, including planning, scheduling and executionConduct independent audit reviews as requiredReview audit findings, identify systematic issues and monitor closure of corrective actionsPrepare clear, high quality audit reports for senior and executive managementOversee incident reporting processes, ensuring timely investigation, escalation and resolution Stakeholder Engagement & Organisational Support Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, regulatory bodies, government agencies and community partnersStay informed of legislative and regulatory changes relating to OOSH, WHS, child safeguarding and compliancePromote a positive, accountable and values driven culture across OOSH and Club operations ABOUT US Established in 1937, PCYC NSW is a life-changing charity collaborating with communities and NSW Police to empower youth, get kids active in life, and reduce and prevent youth crime. ABOUT YOU You are an experienced compliance or safeguarding professional who brings a calm, confident approach to sensitive matters and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality services for children. Youre comfortable navigating legislation, audits and investigations, and you work collaboratively to support teams across multiple sites. You will bring: Relevant Bachelors degree qualification -Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, Social Science or Community ServiceDemonstrated experience leading compliance, quality assurance or audit programs within OOSH, education, community services or another regulated environmentStrong knowledge and sound understanding of the Education & Care Services National Law & Regulations, Mandatory Reporting requirements, Child Protection legislation and StandardsExperience conducting or supporting child protection investigations and managing sensitive information with discretionProven ability to interpret legislation, analyse audit findings and prepare clear, actionable reports for senior stakeholdersConfidence engaging with schools, regulators, accreditation bodies and internal teams to support compliance and safeguarding outcomesA valid WWCC, National Police Check (less than 6 months old), Drivers Licence and willingness to travel across NSWExperience working in a Not-for-Profit or community-based organisation WHY JOIN PCYC?
