The future is lithium, make it yours.The opportunityReporting to the Production Supervisor on shift, the Production Technician is responsible for safeguarding that plant and equipment are operating safely in line with approved procedures and plant operating parameters to ensure consistent production rates, quality specifications, and plant performance.This is a 12-month maximum term role which operates on an 8:6/7:7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.Key responsibilitiesOperate the plant safely and efficiently to meet production and quality targetsMonitor and adjust process conditions to maintain steady-state operationComplete start-ups, shutdowns, isolations and chemical transfers to procedureConduct field inspections and sampling to support process control and QAIdentify issues early, raise work requests and support basic operator maintenanceMaintain accurate logs and provide clear shift handovers to the oncoming crewAbout youWA C Class Drivers Licence with full working rights in AustraliaCertificate III in Metalliferous Mining Operations (or equivalent)3+ years experience in hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical or chemical processing environmentsStrong understanding of process safety, chemical hazards and environmental complianceExperience with DCS/SCADA systems, plant instrumentation and reporting toolsHigh-risk licences including Working at Heights and Confined Space; Forklift and FEL ticketsPhysically fit, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a shift-based, fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in team-based operationsSupporting an inclusive and diverse workforcePLS is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a workplace that values, respects and supports diversity and inclusion.
