Job Title

The Generations Pastor provides pastoral and strategic leadership to Children, Youth, and Families at Caringbah Baptist Church (CBC). This role exists to build and oversee a clear, biblically grounded discipleship pathway from early childhood through to young adulthood, equipping families as primary disciplers and raising the next generation of Christ-centred disciples. The Generations Pastor will ensure that ministry across life stages is aligned with CBCs vision, culture, and strategic priorities, fostering a gospel-centred, relational, and missional community.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Generational LeadershipDevelop and implement an integrated discipleship pathway from early years through youth.Ensure theological consistency and age-appropriate teaching across ministries.Lead long-term planning for children, youth, and family ministry growth.Align generational ministries with CBCs broader vision and mission priorities.Childrens Ministry (Early Years Year 6)Provide leadership and oversight of Sunday and midweek childrens ministries.Develop and review curriculum to ensure biblical faithfulness and engagement.Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders.Maintain safe ministry compliance and best practice child protection standards.Foster strong relationships with parents to support spiritual formation at home.Youth Ministry (Years 712)Provide pastoral and strategic oversight of youth ministry gatherings.Develop youth leaders and build sustainable volunteer teams.Cultivate a culture of belonging, discipleship, and missional engagement.Encourage youth participation in the life of the broader church community.Provide pastoral care and spiritual mentoring to young people.Family DiscipleshipEquip parents and carers as primary spiritual influencers.Develop practical tools and gatherings that support faith formation in the home.Strengthen intergenerational connections within church life.Support families in times of pastoral need.Build, train, and empower volunteer teams across all generational ministries.Supervise any paid generational ministry staff (if applicable).Create healthy leadership pipelines for future ministry leaders.Foster a collaborative team culture aligned with CBCs values.Pastoral ResponsibilitiesProvide pastoral care to children, youth, and families as required.Participate in church-wide pastoral and ministry leadership.Contribute to preaching and service leadership when appropriate.Engage in broader staff team responsibilities and strategic planning.Key OutcomesClear and cohesive discipleship pathway from childhood to adulthood.Strong volunteer teams that are equipped and sustained.Families actively engaged in discipling their children.Growing participation of children and youth in church life.Generational ministries aligned with CBCs vision and culture.Personal & Ministry RequirementsDemonstrated Christian faith and theological alignment with Baptist convictions.Experience in children, youth, and/or family ministry leadership.Qualifications in Theology and/or EducationProven ability to lead teams and develop volunteers.Strong relational and pastoral gifting.Strategic thinker with organisational capability.Committed to the mission and vision of CBC. #J-18808-Ljbffr
