Employment Type: Casual Position Classification: Assist In Nursing Remuneration: $26.93 - $29.55 per hour + 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging Requisition ID: REQ655177 Location: Gunnedah District Hospital Closing Date: Sunday, 10 May 2026 About The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our team on a casual basis in Gunnedah. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment within a 23-bed acute care inpatient unit, delivering high-quality care across a diverse patient mix including medical, some surgical, palliative, and aged care. You will be part of a close-knit team committed to providing patient-centred care to the local community. What You Will Be Doing In this role, you will provide care within your AIN scope of practice, supporting nursing staff in the delivery of safe and effective patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily patient care activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting patient comfort and wellbeing. You will work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team and report directly to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM). You will be supported in your role through an in-house orientation program and have access to ongoing education via a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE). About You You are a caring and reliable AIN with experience in an acute care setting. You bring a positive attitude and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
