We also help English destinations to win international business events,Collectively, we are a trusted advisor to industry and to Government on the visitor economy, providing research and insights.As one global team, we work together with Passion, in Partnership and at Pace:with Passion - fuelled by our enthusiasm and positivity to deliver excellent results.in Partnership empowered to work with partners towards a greater aim beyond our own.at Pace delivering innovation through agility, boldness, and bravery to take calculated risk.VisitBritain ANZs full time Communications Manager should be well-connected with media contacts (ideally in travel and lifestyle industries), with heaps of creativity and a nose for news and sniffing out trends, to increase Britains brand profile and general buzz-worthiness amongst Australian and NZ media and influencers.Together with the wider team in London, the role leads on the planning and execution of CorporateCommunications for ANZ, including those related to the role VisitBritain plays to drive Government tourism agenda including the profile of the Chairman, CEO, Directors as well as visiting VIPs such as Ministers.Based in Sydney, the role plays an important role in developing and executing a profile building programme for VB/Britain and supporting the ANZ marketing and communications plan, to increase visits to England, Scotland and Wales.Main purpose of the roleThe Communications Manager ANZ role is pivotal in reshaping Experience Seeker perceptions of Britain, elevating the visibility of Starring Great Britain, and amplifying brand aligned content in Aust/NZ through credible third-party editorial endorsement that supports UK industry across all nations and regions. The extensive coverage generated by the ANZ media programme ensures Britain remains front of mind in key target publications and outletsparticularly important in a competitive environment where competitors are investing heavily in high profile brand and marketing campaigns. By leveraging the trusted voices of influencers, content creators and key opinion leaders (KOLs), the programme further extends our reach to new audiences, strengthening Britains position in the ANZ market.The Comms Manager targets, plans, and executes approximately 30 ANZ broadcast, press and content creator visits annually, supported by a comprehensive media outreach programme that includes in market events and deskside briefings with influential editors. These efforts collectively generate 300+ pieces of coverage each year across VisitBritains priority outlets in the region. In addition, the Communications Manager leads corporate communications in market, working closely with HMG Communications teams in Australia and New Zealand to strengthen VisitBritains profile among the Australian travel trade and strategic partners. This includes delivering over 50 pieces of corporate coverage annually.The Comms Manager also plays an increasingly important role in raising the profile of ANZ activity promoting UK suppliers and the priority regions, collaborating with the Industry Comms on corporate social posts and copy.Please refer to the job description for more detail.Please be advised that the role is available on a 12-month Maternity cover and is due to start on 19 March 2026.
