About The Role We are seeking a reliable and motivated Despatch Operator / Courier Driver to join our Brisbane team. This permanent parttime position (up to 70 hours per fortnight) is a dualfunction role, where you will work a combination of shifts across both despatch operations and courier duties. You will receive comprehensive training, join a supportive team and enjoy clear progression pathways within a large, stable healthcare organisation. In this mixed role, some shifts will involve coordinating and dispatching job requests to our Courier network, while others will involve performing courier runs to pick up and deliver pathology samples and supplies across South East Queensland. Your work will contribute directly to timely diagnostic services and excellence in patient care. Your key responsibilities will include: Despatch adhoc jobs to our Courier network via despatch software Handle incoming calls from staff, collection centres and external stakeholders Provide highquality customer service in a fastpaced environment Coordinate operational issues including courier delays, breakdowns or urgent requests Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality Routine courier runs for the pickup and delivery of pathology samples, urgent specimens, blood products, vaccines, test results and clinical waste Liaise between Medical Practitioners and the Medical Liaison Officer regarding store orders Process, pack and deliver supplies to Medical Practitioners as required Prepare and deliver reports Follow safe driving practices and adhere to all transport and handling procedures Ensuring compliance with QML Pathology policies, procedures and Work Health & Safety requirements Complete required online learning, updates and training modules Support the broader Courier and Despatch teams through multiskilling About You To be successful in this role, you will meet the below criteria: A current Queensland Open Drivers Licence Sound computer skills (intermediate Microsoft proficiency preferred) Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Good knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas Criticalthinking and problemsolving skills The ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload A flexible, positive attitude and the ability to contribute to a cohesive team Professional presentation, strong integrity and reliability Effective timemanagement and organisational skills A willingness to adhere to policies and procedures and complete required learning We believe everyone leads, no matter what role they are in.
