Responsibilities Work at the frontline of acute inpatient mental health, caring for consumers with complex, high risk presentations Use advanced therapeutic engagement, observation and de escalation skills in a structured, secure environment Be part of a highly experienced, tight knit team where clinical judgement and situational awareness are valued Play a key role in stabilisation, containment and recovery during periods of heightened distress Build your expertise in specialty mental health settings that demand confidence, precision and professionalism Right Fit Confident working with people experiencing severe mental illness, acute agitation or behavioural disturbance Grounded, calm and clinically sharp when situations escalate Experienced in therapeutic communication, boundary setting and recovery focused care Able to read a room quickly, assess risk instinctively and act decisively Drawn to high dependency and intensive care mental health settings where teamwork and trust are essential Selection Criteria Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Describe your experience providing nursing care to consumers with complex, high acuity presentations in a mental health inpatient setting, including how you assess risk, maintain safety and support stabilisation and recovery.
