What Were Looking For: A qualified Cert IV or equivalent Veterinary Nurse 2+ years of nursing experience with strong experience handling a variety of medical & surgical cases, and confidence in general anaesthesia A positive attitude, a real team player and excellent communication skills. A genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to providing the best service to our clients and their pets. Experience handling exotic species is advantageous, but training can be provided About The Role Personable and professional customer service. Surgical patient prepping, monitoring, and recovery General anaesthesia (indepth training will be provided where required). Assistance with internal ultrasonography and external ultrasound specialist service. Hospital nursing care for day patients (no inpatients are kept in overnight and are transferred to OOH ECC). Performing triage service, standard nurse consultations, and animal restraint. Intravenous catheter placement and blood sample collection. Radiography, dental radiography and dental nursing (training provided and radiography licence for Cert IV nurses paid for) Inpatient care of hospital day patients Inhouse pathology Veterinary consultation assistance i.e., restraining for ultrasound, ear cleaning, pathology sampling, venipuncture etc. General nursing and boarding duties Some shared reception/front of house and administration tasks Benefits of Joining Us: We can offer a great worklife balance with a flexible roster between 8am and 6pm, over a 4day working week.
