Onsite at Toowoomba QLD Contract Opportunity, up to 31st December 2026 Minimum NV1 Security Clearance Required We are looking for an experienced Logistics Officer for our client in the defence space who delivers a range of support services to Federal Government. This role is based in Toowoomba, Queensland, and the contract will be up to 31st December 2026. About the Role The Logistics Officer will provide inventory and supply chain support. This role plays a critical part in optimising supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring efficient product flow, inventory control, and delivery performance across complex defence programs. Key Responsibilities Undertaking inventory planning and management activities to meet Capability Manager requirements across both routine operations and contingency activities. Interpreting and applying logistics policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure all Supply Support activities are compliant. Assisting with codification activities to ensure accurate identification, recording, and management of Items of Supply. Generating, analysing, and maintaining regular performance reports to support Supply Support outcomes and inform decision-making. Documenting procurement and sparing decisions to ensure clear traceability between delivered outcomes and ILS objectives. Assisting with the management of supply network requirements, including cross-levelling of stock where appropriate. Providing assistance with Personal Communications Systems (PCS) Disposal related activities. Contributing to various logistics management activities to provide support to end user units, including receipting, dispatch and freight. Supporting serviceability assistance, including hardware/software updates, configuration changes, software audit/tracking, etc. Key Requirements Minimum NV1 Security Clearance with a requirement to uplift to NV2. Strong background in defence inventory management and stocking policies, procedures, and frameworks. BA/BS degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or 5+ years of progressive experience in a relevant logistics or supply chain role. 2+ experience in procurement and/or supply chain management. Strong computing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, and database maintenance and reporting.
