Thats where you come in.Were looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist / Lab Technician to join our Ingleburn Team and play a key role in maintaining product integrity, supporting innovation, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Our Ingleburn site is known as a ''wet site'' so you must be comfortable working in a meat processing environment that handles raw animal protein.About the roleReporting to the Head of Quality and Safety, youll provide analytical and technical support across Operations, Quality, and R&D. From managing raw material and finished goods testing programs to liaising with external labs, youll ensure that everything we produce meets regulatory and customer standards.Youll also support exciting NPD projects and continuous improvement initiatives helping us deliver the very best for pets everywhere. This is an on-site, 5 day a week permanent role. And whilst this role is a Lab Technician, you will have a broader remit than our other site lab technicians in that you will liaise closely with our R&D Team and you will be the site SME and Training Lead across the RPF Group including our sites at Dubbo, Yatala and Somersby.What youll be doingManage raw material and finished goods testing programs to ensure compliance with specifications, standards and schedulesOversee external testing protocols and liaise with external laboratoriesAnalysing data and contribute insights for continuous improvementAct as the site SME and training lead for laboratory testing equipmentMaintain compliance with calibration programs and manage consumablesParticipate in GMP audits and general quality activitiesWhat youll bringEssential:Minimum 5 years practical laboratory experience in the food industryStrong communication, problem-solving and time management skillsSound computer literacy and experience using lab equipmentSolid understanding of HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Management SystemsExperience with wet and dry chemistry and calibration proceduresAbsolute self-starter who prides themselves on keeping ahead of the curve but can also escalate issues when requiredDesirableDegree in Food Science or a related fieldExperience in food manufacturingKnowledge of SQF, external audit requirements and NIR spectroscopyWhat were aboutWelcome to RPF, where we believe in keeping it Real.
