Key Duties & Responsibilities Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this handson leadership position ensures safety compliance, delivery of prioritised preventative maintenance, urgent response to breakdowns, and the accurate control of site spares and tools in location. Carry out all aspects of plant maintenance, inspections and communicate updates Lead maintenance of the branch within the maintenance team and with subcontractors Communicate directly with the operational departments to effectively deliver preventative maintenance tasks and repair works in process areas Work closely with engineers to meet prioritised maintenance tasks, and project installations Actively participate and facilitate safety risk assessments Understanding of the site Major Hazard Facility safety case and major incident controls. Effective contractor management through review of the contractor''s safe work method statements (SWMS), permit completions and documented compliance observations Perform cryogenic reciprocation & centrifugal pumps maintenance and rebuilds Proactively implement the Supagas safety management system policies, procedures, and permit processes Benefits Work for an Essential Service for financial security Opportunity to work for a national growing company Stable and growing business Secure a Fulltime permanent position Employee Discount Platform Employee Assistance Program Work in a friendly environment Career development and progression opportunities Key Skills & Experience Qualifications in mechanical engineering trade essential Tertiary training in chemical, mechanical, electrical or gas industry is highly regarded Experienced technical handson leader within the Gas industry or a related major hazard sector Sound knowledge of Major Hazard Facility and dangerous goods safety management Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) Sound knowledge of oxygen safe technology, gas properties, pipe and vessel installations is advantageous Valid Australian Drivers licence is required Forklift licence is desirable A National Police Check and Demerit Points Statement is required prior to commencement The successful candidate will be required to attend a preemployment medical examination Most importantly at Supagas we value attitude above all else.
