About The Role We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to support individuals with complex needs, including behaviours of concern. This role is handson, rewarding, and suited to someone who is calm under pressure, confident in behaviour support strategies, and genuinely passionate about empowering people to live safe, meaningful, and independent lives. Supports are to be provided to an individual living in a SIL environment and therefore the ability to work 24/7 shifts including sleepovers is required. Key Responsibilities Provide personcentred support in line with individual care and behaviour support plans Safely support clients who display behaviours of concern using positive behaviour support strategies Assist with daily living activities (personal care, meal preparation, community access, transport) Implement deescalation techniques and respond appropriately to challenging situations Be able to report accurately on incident occurrences and strategies that worked and didnt Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting, as well as other data tracking as requested Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and internal teams Promote dignity, choice, independence, and emotional wellbeing at all times Essential Criteria Minimum 3 years experience as a Disability Support Worker, preferably 12 months with challenging behaviours Demonstrated experience supporting people with behaviours of concern Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and traumainformed care Ability to remain calm, professional, and responsive in highpressure situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) Current First Aid & CPR Valid drivers licence Current WWCC Desirable (but not essential) Relevant qualification (Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent) TCI or similar training Experience with complex disabilities (e.g., autism, intellectual disability, psychosocial disability) What We Offer Competitive pay with penalty rates Ongoing training and professional development Supportive and experienced leadership team Opportunities for career progression Meaningful work where you make a real difference every day Apply Now #J-18808-Ljbffr
