Community Engagement and Events Manager Retirement Living 2 Year Fixed Term Contract | Sydney CBD (Pitt Street) + On the Road Across NSW Uniting is continuing to expand its Retirement Living portfolio through significant capital development projects across NSW. These developments are designed to create vibrant, connected communities where older people can thrive, remain independent and feel a genuine sense of belonging. With major developments including Edinglassie (147 units) and Westmead (144 units), this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Retirement Living at Uniting. About the Role The Community Engagement and Events Manager Retirement Living plays a pivotal role in building awareness, trust and meaningful connections with seniors and local communities to support the success of our capital development projects. This is a highly visible, relationshipdriven role focused on: Generating enquiry and interest for new retirement living communities Building strong community partnerships Delivering engaging, highquality events Acting as a trusted ambassador for Uniting You will be based at Pitt Street, Sydney CBD, however this is very much an out on the road role, connecting with seniors groups (such as Probus and U3A), hosting events both in our villages and offsite in the local community, representing these villages in the community and working closely with Village and Campus Managers. What Youll Be Responsible For 1. Community Engagement & Relationship Building Establish and maintain strong relationships with seniors, community groups and local stakeholders Engage with organisations such as Probus, U3A, seniors clubs, social groups, Uniting Church congregations, local businesses and other relevant networks Proactively meet with group leaders and committees to explore how Uniting can present to and engage their members Identify new partnership opportunities to expand Unitings reach Represent Uniting at meetings, presentations, expos, festivals and information sessions This is a leadgeneration focused engagement role, sitting down with community leaders and asking: How might we introduce Uniting to your members? 2. Events & Activation Develop and deliver a calendar of engagement activities aligned to project milestones and marketing campaigns Coordinate onsite events such as information sessions, open days, village activations and morning teas Organise and attend offsite presentations and community networking events Ensure all events are welcoming, inclusive and reflect Unitings values Create genuine connection opportunities that convert awareness into enquiry 3. Project & Team Collaboration Be an integral member of the project teams for each new development Partner closely with Sales Specialists to support enquiry generation Collaborate with Marketing to align activity with campaigns and brand guidelines Work alongside Village and Campus Managers to embed community connection within existing sites. Support multiple capital development projects concurrently, tailoring engagement to each local community 4. Records, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Maintain accurate records of engagement activity and enquiries within CRM systems (MS Dynamics or Salesforce) Ensure strong data integrity to support followup and reporting Provide insights from community interactions to inform future campaigns and engagement strategies Contribute to continuous improvement across sales, marketing and development teams About You You are naturally outgoing, warm and credible. You enjoy building authentic relationships and feel confident speaking to groups of seniors in community settings. You are equally comfortable hosting a morning tea, presenting at a Probus meeting, or collaborating with internal project teams. Qualifications, Experience & Skills Proven experience in community engagement, stakeholder engagement or events management (ideally within retirement living, aged care or a related sector) Demonstrated experience building relationships with seniors and community groups Experience coordinating and delivering events and community activities Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Experience working with CRM systems such as MS Dynamics or Salesforce, with high attention to data quality Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities A genuine passion for working with seniors and building connected, inclusive communities Willingness to travel regularly and work weekends as required (with time in lieu) Current NSW Drivers Licence Why Join Uniting?
