The Compliance Field Technician at Sky5 Join Our Team Contact: Job Reference: SKY5CFT Job Type: Full Time Applications: Currently Open This role works directly in the field to identify compliance status, defects, and risks in accordance with Australian Standards and WHS legislation, providing accurate site data that supports formal reporting and certification. Youll be the eyes on the ground conducting inspections, capturing site information, and liaising closely with the compliance drafting and operations teams to ensure all findings are accurately documented and actioned. What Were Looking For Trade, construction, rope access, or height safety background (preferred). Strong understanding of WHS practices and working at heights. Experience conducting site inspections or compliance checks (or willingness to be trained). Confident using mobile apps and digital reporting tools on-site. High attention to detail with a practical, problemsolving mindset. White Card & Australian Drivers License Working Safely at heights Certification Field Inspections & Assessments Conduct onsite inspections of access systems, safety systems, and related infrastructure. Identify noncompliances, defects, and safety risks in line with relevant Australian Standards. Carry out condition assessments, measurements, and photographic documentation. Complete inspections efficiently across active construction and operational sites. Data Capture & Reporting Input Record inspection findings using Fieldwire, PlanRadar, or similar site management platforms. Provide clear, accurate site notes, photos, and markups to support compliance reporting. Liaise with the Compliance Draftsman to clarify site conditions and technical findings. Ensure all field data is complete, legible, and suitable for formal compliance documentation. WHS & Regulatory Compliance Perform inspections in accordance with AS/NZS 1891, AS/NZS 5532, ISO 45001, and SafeWork Australia requirements. Apply safe work practices while operating at heights and in live environments. Identify critical safety risks and escalate urgent issues to Compliance Operations Managers. Maintain a strong understanding of current WHS legislation and industry standards. Equipment, Systems & Site Coordination Use inspection tools and equipment to assess structural integrity and compliance. Coordinate with site managers, builders, and clients to access work areas safely. Represent Sky5 professionally while working on client sites. Assist with followup inspections and verification works as required. Work closely with compliance managers, drafters, and auditors to support endtoend compliance delivery. Provide feedback from the field to improve inspection processes and reporting accuracy. Support audits and reinspections where required. Why Sky5?
