Lead a Supported Independent Living house with a trusted NT organisation.Somerville Community Services has supported Territorians for more than 50 years. Were a local, for-purpose organisation known for delivering high-quality, person-centred disability supports and for looking after our people.Were seeking a confident and organised Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses in Alice Springs.This hands-on leadership role suits someone who understands what quality support looks like - and takes pride in building a capable, consistent team that support participants to live independently and with dignity.What youll doLead and mentor a team of Disability Support WorkersModel active support practices that promote choice, participation, and independenceCoordinate daily routines, appointments, and activities aligned with participant goalsMaintain clear communication with participants, families, and colleaguesOversee documentation, shift notes, and incident reportingEnsure Behaviour Support Plans and individual support plans are followed consistentlyMonitor staff compliance with training, certifications, and organisational proceduresWhat youll bringProven experience as a Disability Support Worker, with confidence leading or mentoring othersStrong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and person-centred active supportProfessionalism, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing prioritiesCommitment to teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvementCurrent (or ability to obtain) Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid and CPR, NT Drivers Licence, and influenza vaccinationPlease refer to the fullposition description for a complete list of essential and desirable criteria.At Somerville, youll be part of a values-driven organisation that takes pride in the quality of its services and the people who deliver them.
