Communications and Engagement Officer At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training. 4x Temporary positions available (2x 12 months, 2x 5 months). Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available. Clerk Grade 7/8 $113,574 - $125,720, plus superannuation and leave loading. About the role Join the Early Childhood Education and Care Strategic Communications team at a pivotal time for the sector, and help shape communications that support children, families and early learning services across NSW. The Communications and Engagement Officer coordinates and executes the development, implementation and evaluation of communications strategies, programs and projects for the Directorates integrated communications programs. About you Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. communications) or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience. Skilled in creating clear, engaging content for diverse audiences. Experience delivering digital materials across web, newsletters and social channels. Ability to draft a range of communications including plans, reports and updates. Organised and able to juggle multiple priorities to deliver high-quality work on time. Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Essential requirements of the role Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
