You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.Our NSW Water team is currently looking to hire an experienced Hydrogeologist.This role will be based in our Sydney office.Our hydrogeologists apply scientific knowledge and analysis to understand groundwater-related issues, including assessing the quantity, quality and availability of groundwater.Some Of The Projects You May Be Involved In Include Transport/infrastructure, Mining, Energy, Water Resource Management/supply And Projects That Support Environmental Impact Assessments. Recent Projects Includepredicting groundwater flow pathways from a closed minegroundwater inflow assessment for the design of major underground road tunnelling projectshydrogeological investigations, modelling and assessment to inform the design of a hydraulic well barrierderisking groundwater impacts for construction related to water utility infrastructuregroundwater impact assessment related to renewable energy infrastructureconceptualisation, modelling and groundwater impact characterisation at a fuel terminalusing applied tracers and other methods to investigate the behaviour of a faultnumerical modelling to support landfill liner and leachate system design.You will benefit from the support of a well-established team of senior mentors and a culture of continuous learning and development.What Youll DoConduct field investigations and data collection related to groundwater resources, including supervising drilling programs, surface water and groundwater sampling, and aquifer hydraulic testingData management and analyse hydrogeological dataContribute to technical reportsSupport the development of proposals for new projectsComply with all role-specific SHEQ obligations, including the identification and alleviation/elimination of safety hazardsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teamsAbout YouThe successful candidate will be a team player and be eager to learn and build a career in Hydrogeology consulting.You Will Also Bring The Following Experience And AttributesBachelors degree in Geology, Geosciences, Environmental Science, or a related fieldYoure likely to have 1-5 years of experience in hydrogeology or environmental consulting with good site-based experience (fresh graduates with a general understanding of hydrogeology are welcome to apply)Experience in GIS and hydrogeological modelling software is advantageousStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, including being able to write high quality, concise reportsImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
