Field Service Engineer The Field Service Engineer is responsible for delivering highquality service support to Cytivas customers across Australia and NewZealand. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and qualification of a broad range of Cytivas laboratory and bioprocessing equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction, equipment uptime and compliance in GMPregulated environments. Location This position reports to the Cytiva ANZ Service Leader and is part of the Equipment Service Solutions Team. It is a fieldbased role working remotely in Sydney, with access to a local office in Lane Cove. What You Will Do Perform installation, qualification (IQOQ, RQ, CCP), preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Cytivas labscale and bioprocessing equipment including AKTA Pure, Go, Avant, Biacore, AKTA Ready, Readyflux, Wave and Xcellerex systems etc., ensuring compliance with GMP standards. Support digital and automation solutions including UNICORN, Figurate, Chronicle, OptiRun Connect, Historian and networking. Maintain accurate and complete service documentation, including PM and qualification documents, service reports, calibration records, raw data in line with GDP requirements and Cytiva Standard Works, as well as all internal documents and trunk stock etc. Be part of an open and winning team culture, working closely with teammates and technical experts to continuously grow your technical skillset and sharing your experience/knowledge, while also collaborating with the broader team (incl. sales, product, and customer service) to deliver exceptional service to Cytiva customers. Participate in revenuegenerating activities such as contract renewals, sales lead generation, and implementation of service programs. Travel across ANZ to support customers in both research and GMP manufacturing environments. Who You Are You bring 4+ years of field service experience, or you are an earlycareer biomedical engineer, automation engineer, technician, or computer science graduate eager to grow in the life sciences industry. You have strong handson technical skills, with proven experience in troubleshooting and problemsolving (preferably in fieldbased roles but not mandatory). You are proficient with computer systems and networking, with the ability to set up, configure and troubleshoot both software and hardware in customer environments. You demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent time management, the ability to learn and support a wide range of products while consistently delivering highquality work. You are a good team player who is resilient, selfmotivated, follows Cytiva Standard Works and is committed to meeting customer needs and achieving KPIs. You are customerfocused, passionate about the life sciences industry, and have a strong interest in working within GMPregulated environments supporting critical therapeutic drug production. You thrive both working independently and as part of a remote, collaborative team with multiple stakeholders. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements Ability to travel - an average of 50% of time across Australia and New Zealand for training and field work, with occasional international travel. Ability to lift, move, or carry tools, tool cases, and equipment up to 20kg unassisted, and to perform service tasks on both benchtop instruments and largescale systems (e.g., 2000litre bioreactors), including tasks that may require bending, kneeling, or working in physically demanding positions (in accordance with EHS guidelines). Ability to comply with vaccination requirements as mandated by customer facilities or Cytiva EHS recommendations. Valid drivers licence with an acceptable driving record. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in Working in GMP environments or supporting customers in regulated industries. Handson experience with Cytiva equipment or similar bioprocessing technologies. Leading project or small teams.
