Afternoon and evening shifts are mainly based within the Perth precinct and at major event locations such as Perth Stadium. Youll work alongside supervisors, customer service assistants and transit officers during these times.This is an active role that involves standing for extended periods, so this should be carefully considered when applying for this role.Where will I be based?New passenger ticketing assistants are initially based at Perth Station and assigned to a Perth metropolitan rail line. Youll start and finish shifts along your assigned line but may be required to work anywhere across the Transperth suburban network (shift penalties apply).Transfers to other stations are managed via a waitlist as positions become available. Certain work locations may have extended wait times, so please consider your long-term commuting requirements when applying for this role.What is the roster?Most Perth-based rosters support afternoon, evening and weekend shifts, including event work. Rosters may change based on operational needs, with opportunities to move to other rosters depending on performance and vacancies.Will I work across special events?Yes. Supporting special events is a regular part of the role with most events taking place on or around weekends.
