Overview Employment Type: Permanent Part Time Position Classification: Registered Nurse (RN2-8) Remuneration: $39.51 - $52.62 per hour + superannuation Requisition ID: REQ657435 Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN2-8) Primary Care, PPT (12 hours p/w) - South Coast Correctional Centre Sector 4 This is a Targeted Aboriginal Position. Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal descent. Exemption is claimed under Section 21 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Role and Location Justice Health NSW is the employer. The role is based at the South Coast Correctional Centre (SCCC), a 1050-bed facility providing housing and services for inmates, located in South Nowra. Responsibilities Perform reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing management for patients in custody. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex patient cases and outcomes. Qualifications Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). At least one full year of nursing experience. Location Details The South Coast Correctional Centre (SCCC) is located in South Nowra, approximately 168 km south of Sydney and 5 km from the Nowra CBD. The centre provides accommodation for inmates as well as services and programs for recreation, education, and employment. Salary & Benefits Hourly rate of $39.51 - $52.62 per hour (+ superannuation).
