We are currently seeking a casual Services Assistant to play a vital role in our team, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for our patients and staff. Role Overview As a Services Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering timely and effective catering and cleaning services within our health unit. Your daytoday tasks will include preparing and serving meals, assisting with laundry duties, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort and wellbeing of our patients, making this role both rewarding and essential. Key Responsibilities Assist with general housekeeping, including window high cleaning and routine carpet shampooing. Manage laundry services: wash, sort, dry, fold, and store uniforms and linens. Undertake minor sewing repairs and assist with equipment sterilisation processes. Prepare a variety of meals, including breakfasts, soups, and fastserve options. Plate and deliver food to clients, ensuring their dietary requirements are met. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding food quality and client needs. Essential Criteria Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to relate to diverse individuals. Flexible approach to work and roster arrangements. Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively. Discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Limited experience in housekeeping, catering, or laundry services is desirable but not essential. Checks DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (e.g., aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients) Immunisation Risk Immunisation Risk for this position is Category A. SA Health Services are required to implement the addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace. Applicant Information This vacancy is for multiple casual positions, working hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked on a casual shift by shift basis. In addition to the annual salary and entitlements (superannuation & leave loading), a salary packaging option is also available.
