Job Description If you are a Registered Nurse (RN) with aspirations of working in the perioperative environment, or a nurse with previous theatre experience who would like to return to the workforce, the Epworth perioperative Introduction to Specialty Practice (ISP) program may be for you. Program Overview This is a 12month program up to 1.0 EFT, commencing Monday 20th July. Will introduce and expand on the concepts of perioperative nursing in either Anaesthetics/PACU or Scrub/Scout areas. Enables participants to develop an understanding of the principles and practice of perioperative nursing and ensure they have attained a satisfactory level of competency to work safely and effectively. Is delivered using a combination of theory, simulation and clinical exposure to consolidate and assess knowledge and skill. Commences with a study block where pre and postreading material will be provided. Includes performance appraisals and regular feedback at various intervals throughout the program. Provides a pathway to ongoing learning and development opportunities available through the Brooks Academy after successful completion of the program. Requirements Successfully completed a graduate program. Have 2 years acute clinical experience post completion of a graduate program. Commitment to learning and upskilling in this specialised area, attending all study days and course requirements. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency, or New Zealand Citizenship. Location Epworth Geelong, located adjacent to Deakin Universitys Medical School in Waurn Ponds, offers an environment of worldclass health care. Salary The annual salary range for fulltime registered nurses is AUD $82,236 $103,280 + super and entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for parttime).
