About The Role The role of the Anaesthetics Advance Trainee/provisional fellow is to provide high quality anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and pain management of patients within the surgical and critical care directorate. Employment Type: Temporary Full Time Hours per fortnight: 86 Job Category: Medical - Registrar Req ID: 7802 Key Responsibilities Preassessment and optimisation of patients prior to planned anaesthesia performed by all registrars Epidural anaesthesia for labour, after completion of epidural accreditation Airway management outside the operating theatre after 2 years of anaesthesia training, except in time critical emergencies Contribute to and assist the supervising anaesthetist in the running of the operating theatre and offthefloor anaesthetising locations. The fellow will eventually take the role of the supervising anaesthetist position with consultant backup support as needed A range of roles are required including but not limited to general anaesthesia and sedation, airway management, pain medicine, perioperative medicine, regional and local anaesthesia, resuscitation, trauma and crisis management What Were Looking For Applications are invited for Provisional Fellows and Advanced Anaesthesia Trainees to join our friendly and supportive department. These positions are for either 6 months or 12 months. Available provisional fellowships include: Anaesthesia- Regional, Anaesthesia- Airway, Anaesthesia- Cardiac, Anaesthesia- Perioperative Medicine.
