Employment Type Permanent Full Time and Part Time Position Classification Staff Specialist Requisition ID REQ658230 Overview Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team. The role provides high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and participates in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Mental Health Service and Hospital as required. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical assessment, management and treatment of outpatients and inpatients at the Rivendell Unit and associated community-based teams within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). Ensure a high standard of professional performance and support an academic environment that encourages education, research and professional development. Comply with child protection policies, ensure identification, documentation, escalation and action for issues. Qualifications Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and/or other equivalent specialist recognition. Completion of the Certificate in Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (RANZCP) or equivalent as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
